Ecovent Dryer Duct New Port Richey works in the western part of Pasco County, along US 19 and the Gulf side of the county: New Port Richey, Port Richey, Holiday, Trinity, Elfers, Jasmine Estates, New Port Richey East, Beacon Square, Bayonet Point and Hudson. The housing here is older than most people expect. In 14 of the 16 towns, 80% or more of the homes were built before 2000, and in Beacon Square, Elfers, Holiday and Dunedin more than 60% were built before 1980 (Census, 2020 to 2024 estimates). Older ducts and dryer vents have had decades to collect dust and lint, and to sag, crack or come loose. Trinity and Land O' Lakes are the exceptions: three quarters of the homes in Trinity, and nearly half of those in Land O' Lakes, date from 2000 or later.
Clean the dryer vent at least once a year, more often in a large household. Most cleanings take 1 to 3 hours. Air ducts need cleaning every 3 to 5 years, sooner with pets, allergies or visible dust. Humid air makes lint pack faster everywhere on the list.
